22 Nov 2014 at Madison Function Room, Dural: Congratulations to all great achievers who received Gibran Khalil Gibran Award presented by The Arabic Heritage League in Australia. These includes Mrs Fatima Naoot (Poet/Egypt), Mr Anwar Harb (Editor-in Chief AN-Nahar Newspaper Australia, The Hon. Philip Ruddock MP, and Mr Yahia Al-Samawi (Aus Iraqi Poet). The event was highlighted by a wonderful concise talk on the screen by The Hon Tony Abbott MP, Prime Minister of Australia, memorable speeches by the four award recipients, also Mr Yves Khoury (the president of the League), and the well known poet Fouad Neeman El-Khoury . and not to forget the fantastic performance by the Aust Iraqi vocalist Ismael Fadel . The attendee were a crowd of the elite. Congrats for all and a big thank you to the League committee members for their tireless efforts and all the supporters who made the event successful.
